  •     Ramos46 sounds very similar to our delish free dinner this evening.  Didn't cost us a penny and that made it taste so much better.
    14 shrimp skewers

    70 nice size shrimp came off those skewers sautteed  them in white wine and garlic...yummy!  Thank u publix for an amazing free dinner.

    So funny! My DD wanted the shrimp skewers too! And is it just me or does that package of Buitoni like triple in size after it is cooked!!???

  • Lol...I made 2 packages of the buitoni to feed 5 and we have a ton left. I guess I will make 1 package next time. But those shrimp were so delish and pretty good size. I was also really impressed with the bertolli Alfredo mushroom sauce. We normally don't care for jar Alfredo but it was yummy.
    I love the $2 off $2 coupons. My teenage daughter has sushi stashed away for lunch tomorrow.

    Mytah, you should try the Apron Station recipe for chicken over warm kale. They were making it last week and it is fantastic, I think. I made it tonight ( the Organic Girl kale is on sale and there is a q in the current ad.) I know it doesn't sound as good as I am saying but it really is! Next time I think I will use baby spinach. Easy too.

  • Ground chicken soft tacos with Mrs. Dash seasoning. Topped with chopped lettuce and a dallop of fat free sour cream (which tastes just as good as the real stuff to me) and salsa. Trying to stay healthy, but still tasty.

    I take a pack of bacon cut and cut into thirds. I trim my bl/sl chicken breasts and cut into bite sized pieces. I wrap each chicken bite with a 1/3 piece of bacon. Mix together 2/3 c light brown sugar with 2 tsp chili powder (it's not spicey) and dredge each bacon wrapped bite in the mixture before placing on a wire topped baking sheet. 350 for 35 mins. Broil at the end for extr crispiness. Maybe not the HEALTHIEST but OMG!

  • We had Domino's. For a chicken recipe though I usually make chicken & dumplins, chicken noodle soup, chicken marsala, chicken parm (what with all the cheese lately), fried chicken nuggets (my family love these), baked chicken, rotisserie, crock pot chicken (do you have one of those yet?)

  • "easy" Swedish meatballs..
    2 packs of frozen meatballs
    2 cans of golden mushroom soup
    1packet of beef flavor boost
    1 bag of egg noodles.
    either cook all of this on the stove or dump all but the egg noodles in the crockpot...
    and serve with the egg noodles cooked on the stove

    You have a good memory! No, not yet. We sold our house and have been living in a tiny 2 bedroom apartment so space is limited. Won't be getting one until we've bought a house.
  • chicken marsala...

    pound chicken breasts until thin...
    dredge them in salt and peppered all purpose flour
    get your pasta going (I prefer angel hair)
    heat butter (in your biggest skillet!!)... however much you want to use, I don't measure when I cook...
    cook your chicken breasts in the butter... please don't overcook, they are thin so this shouldn't take too long..
    remove chicken breasts,
    add fresh mushrooms and garlic (I prefer whole cloves because they become this sweet, melt in your mouth roasted garlic mmmm) ... make sure your butter is not too hot... you want to roast..not burn... (I guess you could technically substitute coconut oil or olive oil... something with a high smoke point)
    anyhoo...
    roast your mushrooms and garlic... you want those garlic cloves to be well caramelized...
    then pour in 1/2 cup marsala wine and 1/2 cup chicken broth... I like mine really saucy so I do more..and feel free to do more...I just try to keep it at a 1:1 ratio for my personal taste... Let that cook down, scraping all the wonderful pan bits into the sauce...
    put your chicken back in and let simmer a bit until the sauce reduces...
    add your cooked and drained pasta into the pan (this is why you need a big pan!) and let simmer for a few minutes to marry all the flavors...
    YUM!
    They had mushrooms on sale and 79 cent garlic at aldi and cheap pasta at publix...
    oh btw, I just use the cheap "taylor" brand marsala wine...its like 6 a bottle.

    For a healthy alternative... I grilled a package of chicken breasts (with a light seasoning) and then chopped all and served atop salads...sorta like YaYa's Chicken Salad.
    Sometimes I serve it hot/ or cold on top of the salad.
    Serve w/ cucumber dill dressing or whatever you like.

    Lily's Monterey Chicken*:

    chicken breast
    bacon
    shredded mexican cheese
    bbq sauce

    *Same as Chili's Monterey Chicken sans tomatoes.

    Getting ready to have: T-Bone Steaks cooked on an open pit fire grill with gourmet wood & topped w/Portabello Mushrooms & Onions, Baked Potato, Fresh Collard Greens (cooked in bacon fat)! And best of all HUBBY is cooking dinner! :P

    KFC.wanted to use my coupons. I tried last week but went to a store that closed.Spent the day shopping for cheaper car insurance. Rewarded myself for saving Close to $600.yr with not cooking & a little shopping.
    .The guys were happy so it was a win win.
    Back to real food tomorrow. LOL

  • This simple chicken dish sounded "interesting" to me so I made it this past week, and enjoyed it a lot. Hubby did, too!! It was so incredibly easy! Definitely recommend adding some siracha after baked, but thats if you can take the heat ;)
